     JM is a Central Coast-based real estate development company specializing in the design, development, construction and sales of single family home communities. Our staff is skilled and experienced in acquisition, site and building design, entitlement, public affairs, construction, and sales/marketing. Incorporated in 1996, JM is active in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern and Fresno Counties. Our communities are located in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Santa Maria, Oxnard, Lompoc, Templeton, Ventura, Coalinga, Port Hueneme, Piru, Los Alamos, Atascadero and Bakersfield.

     We enjoy building homes. It is our belief that quality of life starts with good job and quality home that people can afford. That’s what motivates us—quality homes in good locations at reasonable prices. And, we back it up with good customer service. John D. Mullen, C.E.O.

     John D. Mullen, C.E.O.: Mr. Mullen is founder, owner, and Chief Executive Officer of JM Development, Inc. and JM Construction, Inc. Mr. Mullen, as C.E.O. of JM Consulting Group, Inc., provided project management, planning and network development services for wireless carriers in the telecommunications industry in the 1980’s and 1990’s and constructed more than 30,000 cellular sites within the United States. Mr. Mullen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, California Real Estate Broker, and holds contractor licenses throughout the United States.


Michael Rider, President

     Michael Rider, President: Michael Rider is President of JM Development, Inc. and oversees all activities within the firm. Mr. Rider has more than 30 years experience in the real estate development industry including environmental planning, land use planning, land acquisition, financing, construction, sales and marketing, and corporate and financial management. Mr. Rider has been directly responsible for the development of nearly 1000 homes and a quarter billion dollars worth of real estate in California. He has also been responsible for the land planning of tens of thousands of residential units, millions of square feet of commercial and industrial property and several billion dollars worth of real estate in the Southern California area. He is a California Real Estate Broker and holds several contractor licenses in California.
